Court Grants Peller ₦500,000 Bail Following Arraignment for Threatening Police Officers

TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his associate, Bello Oladipo, have been granted ₦500,000 bail by a Lagos Magistrate Court after they were arraigned over allegations of obstructing police officers during an operation.

Peller and Oladipo were arraigned following an incident on July 2 along Coastal Road in Lekki, Lagos, where police officers reportedly stopped the TikTok star over a vehicle allegedly being driven without number plates.

According to reports, Peller told the officers that the vehicle had been newly purchased, but they insisted he accompany them to the police station. The situation reportedly escalated after the content creator began recording the encounter on his phone.

Peller later accused the officers of acting aggressively during the incident. However, the police command rejected the allegations and subsequently filed charges against him and his associate.

The duo are facing allegations of resisting police officers, obstructing officers in the discharge of their duties, and engaging in conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.
