Residents Save Abandoned Newborn Found on Farm Path in Kwara, the newborn, who still had his placenta attached, was found by a passersby, who alerted other residents before taking him to Omupo Cottage Hospital for medical attention.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Ismail Bakare, who confirmed the incident on Monday, July 13, 2026 said the baby was brought to the facility alive and has since been placed under medical observation.
