US Issues Travel Advisory to Nigerians With Dual Citizenship Over Passport Use

The United States has issued a travel advisory reminding Nigerians who hold dual citizenship to comply with passport regulations when travelling internationally. According to the advisory, dual nationals are encouraged to use the appropriate passport when entering or leaving countries where they hold citizenship, as required by local immigration laws.

In a statement shared on its official X account on Sunday, the mission said the requirement applies to all U.S. citizens, including children who hold dual nationality.U.S. citizens are REQUIRED to enter and depart the United States on a U.S. passport.
